Die Lerngruppe

In December, Anna and Sophia are studying for their exams.

Im Dezember lernen Anna und Sophia für ihre Prüfungen.

Anna looks at the notes from class and shows them to Sophia.

Anna schaut die Notizen aus dem Unterricht an und zeigt sie Sophia.

“Here are my notes from January, February, March and April of this year. Let's learn this first.”

„Hier sind meine Notizen von Januar, Februar, März und April dieses Jahres. Lass uns das zuerst lernen.”

“Do the other students have anything else from the spring term?”

„Haben die anderen Studenten noch etwas anderes vom Frühlingssemester?”

“No, not really. I have the September lessons from a friend, but she has nothing else.”

„Nein, nicht wirklich. Ich habe die Septemberlektionen von einer Freundin, aber sie hat nichts anderes”.

Sophia opens the dictionary.

Sophia öffnet das Wörterbuch.

“Let's start! We only have three days before the exam.”

„Lass uns anfangen, wir haben nur drei Tage bis zur Prüfung.”

They start reading the sentences. The first part is easy to understand, but the second part of the subject is more difficult.

Sie fangen an, die Sätze zu lesen. Der erste Teil ist leicht zu verstehen, aber der zweite Teil des Themas ist schwieriger.

“Do you understand sentences number eighteen and nineteen, Anna?”

„Verstehst du die Sätze Nummer achtzehn und neunzehn, Anna?“

“This one is about a man who needs an accurate timetable.”

„Es geht um einen Mann, der einen genauen Zeitplan benötigt.“

“Ah, this means 'by plane’.”

„Ah, das bedeutet "mit dem Flugzeug".“

“And number nineteen?”

„Und Nummer neunzehn?“

“I think it's about pets. These words mean dog and cat, right?”

„Ich denke, hier geht es um Haustiere. Diese Wörter bedeuten Hund und Katze, oder?“

“Let me look at the vocabulary. Oh yes, you're right, Anna! There a bowls of chips on the tabel. Can I say that?”

„Lass mich das Vokabular anschauen. Oh ja, du hast Recht, Anna. „Auf dem Tishc Schüsseln mit Chips.“ Kann ich das sagen?“

“You need a verb and don't say 'bowls' in plural, just simply 'bowl' in singular. Also, check the last two letters of ‘table’. I think you spelled it wrong. And you should put a full stop here.”

„Du brauchst ein Verb, z.B., ‘stehen' hier, und sag nicht, ‘Schüsseln’ im Plural, nur einfach ‘Schüssel' im Singular. Schau dir auch die letzten zwei Buchstaben von “Tisch” an. Ich denke du hast es falsch buchstabiert. Und hier musst du einen Punkt machen.“

“Ah, thanks. Is this an adjective or an adverb?"

„Ah, danke. Ist das hier ein Adjektiv oder ein Adverb?“

"'Bad'? That's an adjective, the adverb would be 'badly'. Don't use a capital letter here.”

„Schlecht? Das ist ein Adjektiv, das Adverb wäre auch schlecht. Nimm hier keinen Großbuchstaben.“

“It's eleven o'clock already. Should we have a break?”

„Es ist schon elf Uhr. Machen wir eine Pause?“

“Ok, fine! We'll drink a coffee, but I have to go at twelve.”

„Ok, gut, lass uns einen Kaffee trinken, aber ich muss um zwölf Uhr los.“

After some minutes, they start again.

Nach einigen Minuten fangen sie wieder an.

Anna opens her textbook.

Anna schlägt ihr Lehrbuch auf.

“Look at the problem on this page. Do you have an answer for it?”

„Schau dir sich das Problem auf dieser Seite an. Hast du eine Antwort dafür?“

“I think that this word is wrong. You should write 'baby' here.”

„Ich denke dass dieses Wort falsch ist. Du solltest hier Baby schreiben.“
