Anna is seeing her friend Sophia in the town centre on Wednesday. They are walking on the street when Anna stops at a shop.
Sophia, mira esta falda. ¿Te gusta?
“Sophia, look at this skirt. Do you like it?”
¿Cuál? La marrón?
“Which one? The brown one?”
“No, the yellow one. I want to buy new clothes for our summer holiday.”
¿Cuándo te vas? En Junio o Julio? "
“When are you going? In June or July?”
“No, nuestras vacaciones son en Agosto. Vamos a la playa. Espero que el tiempo sea bueno. "
“No, our holiday is in August. We're going to the beach. I hope that the weather will be good.”
Entran en la tienda.
They enter the shop.
¡Anna, mira!
“Anna, look! The trousers and the T shirt are both orange. Would you dress like this?”
¡Oh no, nunca! Estoy demasiado gorda para eso. ¿Te gustan estos vaqueros negros?
“Oh, no, never! I'm too fat for that. Do you like these black jeans?”
“Yes, I do like them - and you'll look so slim and stylish in them.”
“I'll also buy a new shirt with long sleeves for Ben.”
¿Está? Es de un azul bonito, ¿no?
“This one? It's a nice blue, isn’t it?”
“Yes, it is fashionable, but it might be too big for him?”
No, es una talla diecisiete. Siempre usa dieciséis o diecisiete. También podría comprarle un cinturón nuevo. "
“No, it's size seventeen. He always wears sixteen or seventeen. I could also buy a new belt for him.”
No creo que los vendan aquí.
“I don’t think they sell them here.”
Anna pays for the jeans and the shirt and they leave the shop.
“It's time for lunch and I'm hungry now. Do you think they sell sandwiches at the bar here?”
Sí, lo hacen.
“Yes, they do.”
El bar está al lado del parque. Se sientan a la mesa. Un camarero llega y piden bocadillos y té negro.
The bar is next to the park. They sit down at a table. A waiter comes and they order sandwiches and black tea.
Después del almuerzo, piden la cuenta.
After lunch they ask for the bill.
Trece euros y diez céntimos, por favor. "
“Thirteen euros and ten cents, please.”
Sophia gives him a 20 euro note and he gives her the change.
Adiós.
“Goodbye.”
“Bye.”
