A3 At university

Anna toma un tren para ir a la universidad cada mañana. Sale de casa a las siete y cuarto y camina a la estación.

Anna takes a train to go to university every morning. She leaves home at quarter past seven and walks to the station.

Hoy toma el autobús número cinco. Es lento, pero la parada de autobús está al final de su calle y es fácil ir a pie incluso cuando hay nieve y hielo en invierno.

Today she takes bus number five. It's slow, but the bus stop is at the end of her road and it's easy to walk there even when there is snow and ice in winter.

Lleva ropa abrigada: su abrigo favorito, su nuevo gorro gris y un par de botas. Además lleva una bufanda y guantes de cuero.

She wears warm clothes: her favourite coat, her new grey hat and a pair of boots. She also wears a scarf and leather gloves.

Es noviembre pero ha estado haciendo mucho frío desde el fin de semana. En verano, a veces coge la motocicleta para ir a la universidad.

It is November but it has been very cold since the weekend. In summer, she sometimes takes the scooter to go to university.

Baja del autobús en la segunda parada y va al edificio de la universidad con algunos papeles bajo su brazo. Su lección comienza en quince minutos.

She gets off the bus at the second stop and walks to the university building with some papers under her arm. Her lesson starts in fifteen minutes.

“Good Morning, Anna! Is this your new coat? You look great. I like the colour. It's a beautiful deep green.”

“Good Morning, Sophia! Thank you. No, this is my old coat. The new coat is blue.”

¿Has hecho la lectura para nuestra clase en la página web? Tengo un par de preguntas sobre ella.

“Did you do the reading for our course from the website? I have some questions about it.”

No, no tuve tiempo. Estuve haciendo la tarea de mi curso de idiomas del viernes. El profesor voy a hacer una prueba hoy y mañana tengo que hacer el examen para la clase de conversación.

“No, I didn't have time. I was doing the homework for my language course on Friday. The teacher will do a test today and tomorrow I take the exam for the conversation class.”

Ah, sí, eso es más importante. Anna, ¿ves esa mujer alta de allí?

“Oh, yes, that's more important. Anna, you see the tall woman there?”

“Yes, do you know her?”

Sí, es simpática. Enseña aquí. Su nombre es Señora Ralt.

“Yes, she's nice. She teaches here. Her name is Mrs. Ralt.”

“She often smokes outside. She always stands there in the corner.”
