A6 Jiǔdiàn

 The Hotel

安娜和本一起旅行。

Ānnà hé Běn yìqǐ lǚxíng.

Anna and Ben are travelling together.

他们去海边住十四个晚上。他们想去乡下散步和打网球。

Tāmen qù hǎi biān zhù shísì gè wǎnshàng. Tāmen xiǎng qù xiāngxià sànbù hé dǎ wǎngqiú.

They are going to the sea and will stay there for fourteen nights. They want to go walking in the countryside and will also play tennis. 

他们乘出租车去酒店。他们拿到了房间钥匙，就提着包去了那里。

Tāmen chéng chūzū chē qù jiǔdiàn. Tāmen nádàole fángjiān yàoshi, jiù tízhe bāo qùle nàlǐ.

They take a taxi to the hotel. They get the keys for their room and carry their bags to it.

房间很干净，有一张双人床，还有一个卫生间。卫生间里有淋浴和厕所。

Fángjiān hěn gānjìng, yǒu yì zhāng shuāngrén chuáng, hái yǒu yígè wèishēngjiān. Wèishēngjiān lǐ yǒu línyù hé cèsuǒ.

The room is clean and has a double bed. It also has a bathroom with a shower and a toilet.

“看，你可以看到外面的船。”

“Kàn, nǐ kěyǐ kàndào wàimian de chuán.”

“Look, you can see the boats outside.”

“你认为酒店有游泳池吗？”

“Ní rènwéi jiǔdiàn yǒu yóuyǒngchí ma?”

“Do you think the hotel has a swimming pool?”

“不，没有。但是我们可以在海里游泳。”

“Bù, méiyǒu. Dànshì wǒmen kěyǐ zài hǎi lǐ yóuyǒng.”

“No, it doesn't. But we can swim in the sea.”

“真的？上周天气很冷。我觉得会和冬天一样冷。”

“Zhēn de? Shàng zhōu tiānqì hěn lěng. Wǒ juéde huì hé dōngtiān yíyàng lěng.”

“Really? It was very cold last week. I think it'll be as cold as in winter.”

“我无论如何要试一试！”

“Wǒ wúlùn rúhé yào shì yí shì!”

“I'll try it anyway!”

他们从二层走楼梯下到一层，走出了酒店。酒店花园里有一些椅子。本用手机看他的电子邮件

Tāmen cóng èr céng zǒu lóutī xià dào yī céng, zǒuchūle jiǔdiàn. Jiǔdiàn huāyuán lǐ yǒu yì xiē yǐzi. Běn yòng shǒujī kàn tā de diànzǐ yóujiàn

They are going down the stairs from the second floor to the ground floor and leave the hotel. In the hotel garden are some chairs. Ben takes his mobile phone to look at his emails.

“本，我们在度假！忘了互联网和你的工作吧。”

“Běn, wǒmen zài dùjià! Wàngle hùliánwǎng hé nǐ de gōngzuò ba.”

“Ben, we're on holiday! Forget the internet and your work.”

“就一分钟，安娜。我正在等老板的答复。”

“Jiù yì fēnzhōng, Ānnà. Wǒ zhèngzài děng lǎobǎn de dáfù.”

“Just a minute, Anna. I'm waiting for an answer from my boss.”

安娜感到很无聊。她拿着她的书开始读起来。同时本正在答复他的电子邮件。然后她开始用笔写信。 

Ānnà gǎndào hěn wúliáo. Tā názhe tā de shū kāishǐ dú qǐlái. Tóngshí Běn zhèngzài dáfù tā de diànzǐ yóujiàn. Ránhòu tā kāishǐ yòng bǐ xiě xìn. 

Anna is bored. She takes her book and starts to read while Ben is answering emails. Then she takes a pen to write a letter.

一个男人和他的儿子还有女儿走进了花园。他们开始扔起球来。小女孩没有接住球，正在树间寻找。太阳下变得很热。男孩开始哭起来，他的姐姐却笑了。

Yígè nánren hé tā de érzi hái yǒu nǚ'ér zǒu jìnle huāyuán. Tāmen kāishǐ rēng qǐ qiú lái. Xiǎo nǚhái méiyǒu jiēzhù qiú, zhèngzài shù jiān xúnzhǎo. Tàiyáng xià biànde hěn rè. Nánhái kāishǐ kū qǐlái, tā de jiějiě què xiàole.

A man comes into the garden with his son and daughter and they start to throw a ball. The little girl does not catch the ball and is looking for it between the trees. It is getting too hot in the sun. The boy begins to cry but his sister laughs.

本问他们是否可以借象棋棋盘。

Běn wèn tāmen shìfǒu kěyǐ jiè xiàngqí qípán.

Ben asks whether he can borrow their chess board.

“安娜，和我下棋吧，我对你。”

“Ānnà, hé wǒ xià qí ba, wǒ duì nǐ.”

“Anna, play chess against me.”

“不，谢谢。我相信你比我强得多。”

“Bú, xièxie. Wǒ xiāngxìn nǐ bǐ wǒ qiáng de duō.”

“No, thanks. I believe you're much better than I am.”

“哦，来吧，这不是借口。你应该试着赢我。”

“O, lái ba, zhè búshì jièkǒu. Nǐ yīnggāi shìzhe yíng wǒ.”

“Oh, come on, that's no excuse. You should try to win.”
