B1 The Business Trip

Ben e sua colega Laura fazem sua primeira viagem de negócios. Eles pegam o bonde do escritório para o aeroporto.

Ben and his colleague Laura are on their first business trip. They take the tram from the office to the airport.

Na entrada do aeroporto, o policial verifica os documentos de identidade. Um policial em uniforme os para.

At the entrance of the airport policemen are checking IDs. A police officer in uniform stops them.

“Bom dia! Posso ver seu passaporte, por favor?” 

“Good morning! Can I see your passport please?”

“Sim, claro, aqui está!” 

“Yes, of course, here you are!”

“Recentemente, houve atividades estranhas no aeroporto. Queremos garantir que não exista perigo para os passageiros e que todos estejam seguros. "

“There was some unusual activity recently here at the airport. We want to make sure that there is no danger for the passengers and everybody is safe.”

Laura e Ben entram no terminal com suas malas.

Laura and Ben enter the terminal with their luggage.

Laura está um pouco nervosa. Ela tem medo de perder o avião.

Laura is a little bit nervous. She is afraid to miss the plane.

“Ben, apresse-se, temos que ir para a esquerda. Aqui são os voos domésticos, mas temos que ir para voos internacionais. 

“Ben, hurry up, we have to go left. Here are the domestic flights, but we have to go to the international ones.”

“Você pode se acalmar um pouco, Laura? O elevador para o embarque fica do lado direito. Veja o mapa aqui. "

“Can you calm down a bit, Laura? The lift to departures is on the right-hand side. Look at the map here.”

“Todas as vezes que viajo sozinha, fico tão nervosa. Tudo é tão lotado e barulhento. Existem tantos empresários no aeroporto e eu me sinto como uma adolescente entre eles. "

“Each time I travel by myself I get so nervous. Everything is crowded and noisy. There are so many businessmen at the airport and I feel like a teenager among them.”

“Obrigado, eu me esqueci disso. Deixe-me carregar sua mala, Laura”. 

“Thank you, I forgot it. Let me carry your suitcase, Laura.”

Eles veem que o voo está atrasado e que também houve uma mudança no portão de embarque.

They see that their flight is delayed and that there was a change of the gate.

“Certo, pelo menos agora podemos ter certeza de que não vamos perder o voo.” 

“Right, at least now we can be sure that we will not miss the flight.”

“Você acha que é normal ter um atraso como esse? "

“Do you think it is normal to have a delay like this?”

“Neste momento, há muita neve no país. Esta é a razão do atraso. Os pilotos precisam esperar muito tempo para poderem decolar. "

“I guess you are right. The pilots have to be very careful. If they make a mistake, many people can die.”

“Indeed! Do you want a coffee?”

“Não, eu vou primeiro à livraria comprar um presente para Marc. Ele comprou jóias para mim e eu quero agradecê-lo com a compra de algo para ele”.

Laura entra na loja. A vendedora vem até ela.

Laura enters the shop. The shop assistant comes to her.

“I am looking for a surprise for my boyfriend.

“Temos livros sobre muitos assuntos, como fotografia ou geografia. Ele gosta desse tipo de coisa? "
