The Concert

Hoje à noite, Ben vai sair com seus amigos. Seus amigos Max, um mecânico que era seu vizinho quando eram crianças, e Marc, gerente de TI, estão chegando. Eles bebem cerveja no jardim e conversam sobre jogos de rugby e beisebol. O time local foi derrotado na final.

Tonight, Ben is going out with his friends. His friends Max, a mechanic who was his neighbour when they were children, and Marc, an IT manager, are coming. They drink beer in the garden and talk about the rugby and baseball matches. The local team was beaten in the final.

Ben comprou linguiças e hambúrgueres. Ele grelha a carne enquanto Max diverte Marc com histórias sobre as últimas tendências em esportes radicais.

Ben bought sausages and burgers. He grills the meat while Max entertains Marc with stories about the latest trends in extreme sports.

“Ben, você ainda precisa de muito mais tempo? "

“Ben, do you need much longer?”

“Vou ter que deixar os bifes na churrasqueira mais um pouco. Eles são bem grossos. Pegue outra lata de cerveja.” 

“I will have to keep the steaks on the barbecue a bit longer. They are quite thick. Take another can of beer.”

Depois do jantar, eles vão ao estádio a pé. Eles atravessam a rodovia por uma ponte e passam por um bar.

After dinner, they go to the stadium on foot. They cross the motorway via a bridge and walk past a pub.

“Está muito úmido e com vento esta noite. Estou congelando.” 

“It is so wet and windy tonight. I am freezing.”

“Que tal uma bebida lá dentro?Também mal posso esperar para sair do frio! "

“What about a drink indoors? I also can’t wait to get out of the cold!”

“Boa ideia! Eu também preciso ir ao banheiro rapidamente. No estádio, as pessoas estarão esperando em fila no banheiro dos visitantes, como sempre”. 

“Good idea! I also need to go to the toilet quickly. At the stadium people will be waiting in line at the visitor’s toilet as usual.”

“Sim, ok, eu não me importo de fazer uma parada rápida”. 

“Yeah, ok, I don’t mind a quick stopover.”

“Eu me pergunto se o cantor tocará suas músicas lendárias. Estou realmente empolgado por poder vê-lo e curioso para saber quantas pessoas virão. "

“I wonder whether the singer will perform his legendary songs. I am really thrilled that we can see him and I am curious how many people will come.”

“Acho que haverá uma grande multidão. Talvez oitenta mil pessoas? O estádio é gigantesco!” 

“I think there will be a big crowd. Maybe eighty thousand people? The stadium is gigantic!”

Eles chegam na entrada leste. Ben mostra sua carteirinha de jornalista e os funcionários abrem uma porta especial para eles. Marc carrega a câmera digital de Ben. O assistente pensa que ele é fotógrafo e dá a eles lugares perto do palco. Max também pode ficar na área da imprensa.

They arrive at the east entrance. Ben shows his Journalist ID and the staff open a special gate for them. Marc carries Ben’s digital camera. The assistant thinks that he is a photographer and gives them seats close to the stage. Max can stay in the press area too.

Eles estão à esquerda do palco e muito perto dos dançarinos. Os cantores estão em uma plataforma no meio do palco. Eles dançam sob a luz brilhante em seus vestidos prateados.

They are on the left-hand side of the stage and very close to the dancers. The singers are on a platform in the middle of the stage. They dance under the bright lights in their silver dresses.

Quando a estrela finalmente chega, todo mundo grita seu nome. Alguns fãs entram na área da imprensa e tentam subir ao palco.

When the star finally arrives, everybody shouts his name. Some fans are jumping down into the press area and try to climb on stage.
