C10 The cottage

Anna e Sophia passaram nos exames e planejam a temporada de verão. Elas estiveram na agência de viagens e visitaram diferentes resorts à beira-mar, mas agora mudaram de ideia. Os preços das viagens eram razoáveis ​​e há transporte confiável para os turistas, mas os hotéis são torres de concreto.

Anna and Sophia have passed their exams and are planning the summer season. They have been to the travel agent's and looked at different seaside resorts but they have now had a change of mind. The prices of the trips were reasonable and there is reliable transport for tourists, but the hotels are concrete towers. 

Anna e Sophia sonham com a beleza da natureza e da areia sob seus pés e desejam um contraste real com sua vida urbana. Um de seus amigos aluga um chalé aconchegante e charmoso que ficou vazio por uma semana e elas agiram rapidamente e o alugaram.

Anna and Sophia dream of the beauty of nature and sand under their feet and want a real contrast to their urban life. One of their friends rents out a cosy and charming cottage which is vacant for a week and they acted quickly and rented it.

A paisagem ao redor da casa é encantadora. De sua varanda, elas podem ver o nascer e o pôr do sol sobre o oceano e observar a lua à noite.

The scenery around the cottage is delightful. They can see the sunrise and sunset over the ocean from their balcony and watch the moon at night.

Hoje é um bom dia com uma leve brisa. Sophia está fazendo seu exercício na costa arenosa. Ela veste short e camisa com listras e parece uma marinheira.

Today is a fine day with a light breeze. Sophia is doing her workout on the sandy shore. She is dressed in shorts and a shirt with stripes, and looks like a sailor.

Anna a acompanhou até a praia e come morangos doces e suculentos à sombra. Ela não percebe as formigas que rastejam em sua perna e a incomodam. Ela aplica um creme na pele e veste uma calça de algodão para se proteger de um novo ataque de formigas.

Anna has accompanied her to the beach and eats sweet and juicy strawberries in the shade. At first, she does not notice the ants which crawl onto her leg and annoy her. She applies a cream to her skin and puts on a pair of cotton pants to protect herself from a new ant attack.

Ela chama em voz alta na direção de Sophia.

She calls out loudly in Sophia’s direction.

“Ei, vamos tomar um pouco de sol  agora. Podemos fazer o passeio de bicicleta mais tarde, quando estiver mais fresco. Isso será mais agradável do que no calor. ”

“Hey, let's sunbathe a bit now. We can do the bike tour later when it's cooler. That'll be more enjoyable than in the heat.”

Sophia acena e se aproxima dela.

Sophia waves and comes over to her.

“Não é ótimo passar tempo ao ar livre? O ar está tão fresco aqui. Devíamos sair da cidade com mais frequência. ”

“Isn’t it great to spend some time outdoors? The air is so fresh here. We should get out of town more frequently.”

“Para falar a verdade, também gostaria de repetir. Talvez daqui a duas semanas? Depois desses dias chuvosos, agora há mosquitos demais. É muito desagradável e um verdadeiro incômodo. ”

“To be honest, I'd like to repeat it too. Maybe two weeks from now? After these rainy days, there are just too many mosquitos now. It's very unpleasant and a real nuisance.”

“Eu me protejo com um spray.”

“I protect myself with a spray.”

“Sim, o cheiro é realmente repugnante, mas se a escolha for o cheiro ou ser atacada a noite toda, a decisão é muito fácil.”

“Yes, the smell is really disgusting, but if the choice is either the smell or being attacked all night, the decision is pretty easy.”

“Foi definitivamente muito gentil da parte do proprietário nos permitir ficar aqui.”

“It was definitely very nice of the owner to permit us to stay here.“

“Eu realmente me sinto em casa aqui. Eu entendo agora porque meus pais querem se aposentar no litoral. O clima aqui é extraordinário. ”

“I really feel at home here. I understand now why my parents want to retire at the coast. The climate here is extraordinary.”

“Você viu a previsão do tempo? Em 2 semanas, haverá precipitação de chuva novamente. “

“Have you seen the weather forecast? In 2 weeks there'll be rain showers again.“

“Devíamos fazer uma reserva para o próximo fim de semana. Deve estar agradavelmente quente e seco aqui na baía. ”

“We ought to make a reservation for next weekend. It should be pleasantly warm and dry here at the bay.”
