C6 The marriage

София и Марк женятся. Это первая свадьба, которую Анна и Бен посещают вместе. Невеста и жених выбрали романтическое место для своего торжества: замок над долиной с чудесным видом на реку, которая течёт внизу, и водопад.

Sophia and Marc are marrying. It is the first wedding Anna and Ben are attending together. The bride and groom have chosen a romantic location for their celebration: a castle above a valley, with wonderful views of the river which flows below and a waterfall.

София надела традиционное платье. Анна обнимает Софию, которая приветствует гостей у входа.

Sophia wears a traditional dress. Anna hugs Sophia who is greeting the guests at the entry.

«София, ты выглядишь как модель. Платье великолепное. Эти крошечные сверкающие пуговицы и шёлк действительно красивые. Длина прекрасно подчёркивает твои туфли. Ты сама делала причёску или у тебя был парикмахер? Кстати, я принесла свой старинный браслет на случай, если ты захочешь его надеть».

“Sophia, you look like a model. The dress is gorgeous. These tiny sparkling buttons and the silk are really beautiful. The length highlights your shoes beautifully. Did you do your hair yourself or did you have a hairdresser? By the way, I did bring my antique bracelet, just in case you want to wear it.”

«О, Анна, спасибо тебе большое! Я такая нервная! Я боюсь, что сегодня что-то пойдёт не так. Надеюсь, что кольца у Марка. Он должен был подумать о них и убрать их».

“Oh Anna, thank you so much! I'm so nervous! I'm terrified that something will go wrong today. I hope Marc has the rings. He must have thought of them and put them away.”

«Я напомню ему об этом. Архитектура замка просто потрясающая. Я действительно поражена тем, чего вы достигли с момента объявления о помолвке».

“I'll remind him of it. The architecture of the castle is absolutely spectacular. I'm really amazed at what you've achieved since the engagement announcement.”

София в слезах.

Sophia is in tears.

«Я молю Бога, чтобы всё было хорошо. Будет скрипичный концерт, но ещё не все участники группы приехали».

“I pray to God that everything will be fine. There's going to be a violin concert and not all members of the band have arrived yet.”

«Я не сомневаюсь, что они приедут вовремя. Не получи сердечный приступ, ваша любовь - это сегодня самое важное».

“I have no doubt that they'll arrive on time. Don’t have a heart attack, your love is the most important thing today.”

«Слава Богу, ты здесь! Это помогает мне сохранять спокойствие. Стресс просто огромный».

“Thank God you're here! It helps me to remain calm. The stress is just overwhelming.”

«Ты хорошо справляешься. Естественно, ты напугана, ведь это твоя первая свадьба. После пары разводов будет гораздо проще организовать мероприятие».

“You're doing well. Naturally you're frightened, it's your first wedding after all. After a couple of divorces, it'll become much easier to organise the event.”

На лице Софии появляется улыбка.

A smile appears on Sophia’s face.

«Ты умеешь хранить секреты? Прямо сейчас Марк мог бы изменить мне, но я всё равно продолжила бы наши отношения».

“Can you keep a secret? Right now, Marc could cheat on me and I would continue our relationship anyway.”

«Надеюсь, тебе никогда не придётся столкнуться с этой проблемой. Он никогда тебя так не разочарует», - уверенно говорит Анна.

“Hopefully, you'll never have to face that question. He'll never disappoint you like that,” Anna says confidently

К ним подходит хорошо одетый мужчина. Он тяжело дышит.

A well-dressed man approaches them. He is breathing heavily.

«Простите! Я гитарист. Могли бы вы сказать мне, где другие музыканты?»

“Pardon me! I'm the guitarist.  Can you tell me where the other musicians are?”

«Они готовятся внутри на танцполе».

“They're preparing themselves inside, on the dance floor.”

Церемония начинается, и София и Марк дают клятвы. Когда Софию просят повиноваться Марку, в зале раздаётся смех.

The ceremony starts and Sophia and Marc take their vows. When Sophia is asked to obey Marc, there is laughter in the audience.

Когда Софию и Марка объявляют мужем и женой, внезапно появляется маленький щенок и начинает лаять. Марк поднимает его и передаёт Софии.

When Sophia and Marc are declared husband and wife, a little puppy appears suddenly and starts barking. Marc lifts him up and passes him over to Sophia.

«Он ещё не умеет вести себя, но этот маленький монстр принесёт нам счастье. Он первый член нашей новой семьи».

“He doesn't know how to behave yet, but this little monster will bring us happiness. He's the first member of our new family.”

София не может остановить слёзы радости, и Анна протягивает ей салфетку.

Sophia cannot stop her tears of joy and Anna has to hand her a tissue.

«Давай назовём его Гром! У него есть талант перебивать».

“Let's call him Thunder! He has a talent for interrupting.”

В конце вечера гости выходят на улицу, чтобы при лунном свете посмотреть на фейерверк.

At the end of the night, the guests go outside in the moonlight to see the fireworks.

Первоначально София и Марк планировали медовый месяц сразу после свадьбы, но теперь они решили, что уедут только через две недели.

Originally, Sophia and Marc had scheduled the honeymoon directly after the wedding, but now they have decided that they will only leave in a fortnight.
