C10 The cottage

Анна и София сдали экзамены и планируют летний сезон. Они были в туристическом агентстве и смотрели разные морские курорты, но теперь передумали. Цены на поездки приемлемые, есть надёжный транспорт для туристов, но отели - это башни из бетона.

Anna and Sophia have passed their exams and are planning the summer season. They have been to the travel agent's and looked at different seaside resorts but they have now had a change of mind. The prices of the trips were reasonable and there is reliable transport for tourists, but the hotels are concrete towers. 

Анна и София мечтают о красоте природы и песке под ногами и хотят реального контраста с их городской жизнью. Один из их друзей сдаёт в аренду уютный и очаровательный коттедж, который стоял пустым неделю, и они быстро действовали и арендовали его.

Anna and Sophia dream of the beauty of nature and sand under their feet and want a real contrast to their urban life. One of their friends rents out a cosy and charming cottage which is vacant for a week and they acted quickly and rented it.

Пейзаж вокруг коттеджа восхитительный. Они могут видеть рассвет и закат над океаном со своего балкона и наблюдать за луной ночью.

The scenery around the cottage is delightful. They can see the sunrise and sunset over the ocean from their balcony and watch the moon at night.

Сегодня прекрасный день с лёгким ветерком. У Софии тренировка на песчаном берегу. Она одета в шорты и рубашку в полоску и похожа на моряка.

Today is a fine day with a light breeze. Sophia is doing her workout on the sandy shore. She is dressed in shorts and a shirt with stripes, and looks like a sailor.

Анна сопровождает её на пляж и ест в тени сладкую и сочную клубнику. Она не замечает муравьёв, которые заползают на её ногу и досаждают ей. Она наносит крем на кожу и надевает брюки из хлопка, чтобы защититься от нападения нового муравья.

Anna has accompanied her to the beach and eats sweet and juicy strawberries in the shade. At first, she does not notice the ants which crawl onto her leg and annoy her. She applies a cream to her skin and puts on a pair of cotton pants to protect herself from a new ant attack.

Она громко кричит в сторону Софии.

She calls out loudly in Sophia’s direction.

«Эй, давай теперь немного позагораем. Мы можем поехать на экскурсию на велосипеде позже, когда станет прохладнее. Это будет приятнее, чем в жару».

“Hey, let's sunbathe a bit now. We can do the bike tour later when it's cooler. That'll be more enjoyable than in the heat.”

София машет и подходит к ней.

Sophia waves and comes over to her.

«Разве не здорово проводить время на природе? Здесь такой свежий воздух. Мы должны чаще уезжать из города».

“Isn’t it great to spend some time outdoors? The air is so fresh here. We should get out of town more frequently.”

«Честно говоря, я бы тоже хотела повторить это. Может быть, через две недели? После этих дождливых дней комаров стало слишком много. Это очень неприятно, настоящая досада».

“To be honest, I'd like to repeat it too. Maybe two weeks from now? After these rainy days, there are just too many mosquitos now. It's very unpleasant and a real nuisance.”

«Я защищаю себя спреем».

“I protect myself with a spray.”

«Да, запах действительно отвратительный, но если выбор - или чувствовать запах, или быть атакованной всю ночь, решение довольно простое».

“Yes, the smell is really disgusting, but if the choice is either the smell or being attacked all night, the decision is pretty easy.”

София делает селфи с Анной перед домом.

Sophia takes a selfie of them in front of the house.

«Было определённо очень мило со стороны владельца разрешить нам остаться здесь».

“It was definitely very nice of the owner to permit us to stay here.“

«Я действительно чувствую себя здесь как дома. Теперь я понимаю, почему мои родители хотят жить на побережье, когда выйдут на пенсию. Климат здесь необыкновенный».

“I really feel at home here. I understand now why my parents want to retire at the coast. The climate here is extraordinary.”

«Ты видела прогноз погоды? Через 2 недели снова будут ливни».

“Have you seen the weather forecast? In 2 weeks there'll be rain showers again.“

«Мы должны сделать бронирование на следующие выходные. Здесь, в заливе, должно быть приятно тепло и сухо».

“We ought to make a reservation for next weekend. It should be pleasantly warm and dry here at the bay.”
