C10 The cottage

Anna y Sophia han aprobado sus exámenes y están planeando la temporada de verano. Acudieron al agente de viajes para buscar diferentes resorts en la playa, pero ahora han cambiado de opinión. Los precios de los viajes eran razonables y existen medios de transporte fiables para los turistas, pero los hoteles son torres de hormigón.

Anna and Sophia have passed their exams and are planning the summer season. They have been to the travel agent's and looked at different seaside resorts but they have now had a change of mind. The prices of the trips were reasonable and there is reliable transport for tourists, but the hotels are concrete towers.

Anna y Sophia sueñan con la belleza de la naturaleza y la arena bajo sus pies y quieren un contraste real con su vida urbana. Uno de sus amigos alquila una encantadora y acogedora casa de campo que estaba vacía por una semana y actuaron rápidamente y lo alquilaron.

Anna and Sophia dream of the beauty of nature and sand under their feet and want a real contrast to their urban life. One of their friends rents out a cosy and charming cottage which is vacant for a week and they acted quickly and rented it.

The scenery around the cottage is delightful. They can see the sunrise and sunset over the ocean from their balcony and watch the moon at night.

Today is a fine day with a light breeze. Sophia is doing her workout on the sandy shore. She is dressed in shorts and a shirt with stripes, and looks like a sailor.

Anna la acompañó a la playa y come fresas dulces y jugosas a la sombra. Ella no se da cuenta de las hormigas caminando por su pierna y molestándola. Se pone una crema en la piel y se pone pantalones de algodón para protegerse de un nuevo ataque de hormigas.

Anna has accompanied her to the beach and eats sweet and juicy strawberries in the shade. At first, she does not notice the ants which crawl onto her leg and annoy her. She applies a cream to her skin and puts on a pair of cotton pants to protect herself from a new ant attack.

Ella llama con voz fuerte en dirección a Sophia.

She calls out loudly in Sophia’s direction.

"Oye, tomemos el sol un poco ahora. Podemos hacer el recorrido en bicicleta más tarde cuando haga más fresco. Eso será más agradable que con el calor."

“Hey, let's sunbathe a bit now. We can do the bike tour later when it's cooler. That'll be more enjoyable than in the heat.”

Sophia la saluda con la mano y viene hacia ella.

Sophia waves and comes over to her.

"¿No es genial pasar tiempo al aire libre? El aire es tan fresco aquí. Deberíamos salir de la ciudad más frecuentemente."

“Isn’t it great to spend some time outdoors? The air is so fresh here. We should get out of town more frequently.”

“To be honest, I'd like to repeat it too. Maybe two weeks from now? After these rainy days, there are just too many mosquitos now. It's very unpleasant and a real nuisance.”
